Kathryn Johnston, RN , RCST, BCST

During my years working as a community nurse supporting people in their recovery after major health events, I realized that one of my greatest offerings was my capacity to listen. Listening was an essential part of the relationships I built with people, and it played a significant role in people’s ability to move through serious health issues- feeling the support necessary for healing and integration. When a friend and colleague first introduced me to biodynamics, the core principals of the practice deeply resonated and I immediately recognized the way I wanted to practice being in healing relationship with others. BCST is deeply rooted in listening and orienting to the inherent Health and the Wholeness of a person. It has been a joy to train and practice using my hands and perceptive skills to listen to other’s bodies through this lens, and I am honored to work with people in this way.

In addition to my initial draw to BCST, I also found the work incredibly supportive and necessary through my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum recovery with my daughter. I am in awe of how subtle yet deep the impacts of BCST are on my system.

I live in Midcoast Maine with my partner, young daughter and animal companions.
